1. Data controller

Ukiyo (hereinafter, “UKIYO”).

2. Data we collect

  • Identification and contact data: first name, surname, email and phone.
  • Trip data and preferences: destinations, dates, interests and restrictions.
  • Transactional data: if you contract services, billing data. We do not store cards; payments are processed through a secure gateway.
  • Browsing data: IP, device, pages visited and cookies. See section 8.
  • Communication: messages sent through forms or email.

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Answer your enquiries and prepare personalized proposals (art. 6.1.b GDPR: pre-contractual measures at the data subject’s request).
  • Provision of contracted services (art. 6.1.b GDPR: contract performance).
  • Customer service and after-sales support (art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f GDPR: legitimate interest).
  • Informative communications and our own marketing (art. 6.1.a GDPR: consent; you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • Site improvement and security (art. 6.1.f GDPR: legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and functional).
  • Legal obligations (art. 6.1.c GDPR: compliance with tax and accounting regulations).

4. Retention periods

We keep data for as long as necessary to fulfil the stated purposes and, afterwards, for the periods required by law. For commercial communications based on consent, until you withdraw it.

5. Recipients

We do not share data with third parties except when legally required or when necessary to provide the service, such as with local providers, accommodation, travel insurance or payment gateways. In those cases, we use the appropriate data processing agreements.

6. International transfers

When our providers are outside the EEA, we ensure an adequate level of protection through European Commission standard contractual clauses or other valid mechanisms.

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. Even so, no transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Minors

Our website and services are not aimed at children under 14. If we detect data from minors without authorisation, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy to reflect legal or service changes. We will publish the current version on this same page.
