Have 15 days for Indonesia and want Java, Bali, Lombok and Komodo? Our Essences of Indonesia trip brings those four stages together in 18 days: 17 in the country and arrival back in Madrid on day 18. Fitting it into 15 days means choosing a region to leave out, rather than shaving one night off every island. The final nights by stage and the Komodo stay are still under review.

This guide uses that real route to help you make the choice. The shorter outline below is an editorial planning example, not an available 15-day trip. Flights, boats, nights and services must be checked for your dates before it can become a proposal.

01 · Counting daysFirst: 15 travel days or 15 days in Indonesia?

On the published trip, day 18 is the arrival back in Madrid after an overnight flight. If your 15 days include the journey home, you may have around 14 days in Indonesia; if you have 15 full days there, the plan changes. Arrival time, connections and departure airport determine the time you can actually use.

02 · Choosing stagesWhat to keep from the 18-day route

UKIYO’s route goes from Yogyakarta and East Java to Ubud and Amed, then Kuta Lombok, and finally Labuan Bajo and Komodo. Our guide to the full route explains why each stage belongs there. With 15 days, fewer regions leave more room for the journeys between them.

If Java, Bali and Komodo matter most

One planning example removes Lombok and keeps Java → Bali → Flores/Komodo. To picture the shorter route, one provisional split would be five nights in Java, four in Bali and four in Labuan Bajo/Komodo: 13 nights in the country, followed by a departure day and the journey home. This illustrates a three-night reduction; it is not a confirmed schedule. The Bali–Flores connection, the form of the Komodo stay and the margin before an international flight all need checking.

If Lombok is a priority

Kuta Lombok brings a different pace by the sea after Java and Bali. To keep it, we would look at leaving out another entire region, such as Komodo. That changes the prepared trip and calls for a new route designed with you. We cannot promise that all four stages will feel the same with three fewer days.

03 · Planning outlineHow a Java, Bali and Komodo option might work

Java · five provisional nights. The base outline passes through Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen. There are several changes of base and early starts. Each transfer must be checked against actual schedules; mentioning a place does not mean entry, a guide or an activity is included.

Bali · four provisional nights. Ubud and Amed serve different purposes: the inland region and the east coast. Accommodation in Amed still needs validation; no hotel or room conditions should be assumed.

Labuan Bajo and Komodo · four provisional nights. The split between hotel and boat has not been decided. Navigation, operator, safety, park fees and timings also need verification. Both Bali–Flores and the international departure need workable connections.

Departure and journey home. Using the same counting method as the 18-day route, day 14 would be the departure from Indonesia and day 15 the arrival back in Madrid. Actual flights may change this; do not book an international flight from this outline alone.

04 · Making a choiceWhat to tell us before requesting a proposal

Tell us your dates, departure city and which stage you most want to keep: Java’s volcanoes and waterfalls, Ubud and Amed, Lombok or Komodo. We can then check whether a 15-day route works for you or whether the 18-day trip already outlined makes more sense. Changing the prepared trip’s stages is treated as UKIYO’s bespoke design service, with one final per-person trip price once services are verified.

Is there a price for this 15-day version?

No. There is no published price for this 15-day adaptation. A specific trip’s price and inclusions can only be set after accommodation, transport, dates and availability have been checked.
